Who is your favorite Spider-Man?

Sad news for both Nicolas Cage and Marvel fans, as Amazon Prime has cancelled 'Spider-Noir' after one great season that earned five Emmys on eleven nominations and a %92 Rotten Tomatoes score.

The detective series took place in 1932, where Cage plays private investigator Ben Reilly, who gave up his hero mantle after the death of his love interest, played by 'National Treasure' co-star Diane Kruger. He has to face his past history from the experiment in World War One that gave him his superpowers when the villain Silvermane, played by Brendan Gleeson, tries to take over New York.

The show was directed by Harry Bradbeer (Killing Eve), and was released both in color and black and white. The reason for the cancellation could be because of a falling out between Sony and executive producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller over the budget.

I personally loved the series cause it let Nicolas Cage display all his best acting traits in a free-for-all that made me wish he would join the other three live-action Spider-Man in 'Avengers: Doomsday.'

Cage just released his announcement to Deadline about the cancellation: "For me, one season is perfect, having said what I wanted to say with this dangerous, innovative, pop-art Spider-Man. Onwards, upwards, inwards."

What is your favorite Tom Hardy project? I'm defintinely going with 'Warrior' which I consider the greatest sports film ever made. Especially Hardy's performance with Nick Nolte, who played his abusive father in two mesmerizing scenes. The first in the casino, where Hardy told Nolte he would never forgive him, which caused him to relapse back into alcoholism before he saw their shared pain of serving in the Army, and comforted him in the hotel room.

Great news for fans of Paramount+ 'MobLand' as it was officially renewed for a third season with embattled Tom Hardy also returning after a much-publicized on-set scandal of feuding with showrunner Jez Butterworth.

Hardy was rumored to be an on-set diva, showing up late and refusing to leave his trailer, which may or may not have conflicted with co-stars Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. A meeting in London with the producers, Hardy and Director Guy Ritchie, seemed to happily cause all parties to come to a mutual agreement to continue. The second season premieres this month on September 18th.

What is your favorite Ridley Scott film?

Crazy news has come out from Hollywood insider Matt Belloni, as he claims Ridley Scott dropped Paul Mescal from 'The Dog Stars' because he blames Mescal for the failure of 'Gladiator II' for not being masculine enough like Russell Crowe, who led the first film.

'Gladiator II' made $462 million worldwide on a reported $300 million budget but was slammed by both critics and viewers. I think the big problem is that Scott's filming style has changed from each shot composed like a painting to lazily using multiple cameras.

This might be the best thing to happen for Mescal, as 'The Dog Stars' bombed at the box office with $8 million dollars and freed him to play Paul McCartney in Sam Mendes' four films about the Beatles. Did you like him in 'Gladiator II?'

What is your favorite racing film?

Exciting news for fans of 'Days of Thunder" as Anne Hathaway was added to the cast of the upcoming sequel as a race car owner and engineer who will most likely be the new love interest for Tom Cruise's Cole Trickle.

This, of course, means the chances of Nicole Kidman returning as Dr. Claire Lewicki are down to zero. Not a shocker for those who don't follow pop culture. Cruise and Kidman fell in love on the first one and were married for eleven years until their divorce in 2001 due to most likely Scientology.

Cruise, for his part, recently was at Daytona International Speedway where he met with the drivers about the film: "I am so excited to be back here. Last time I was at this track, actually, I was on the backstraight, and I was shooting with two very heavy cameras traveling -- I don't know -- 180mph, and suddenly, the hood was off the car and there were two heavy cameras, and I'm on the backstraight, the sun is setting, and I'm trying to get all my lines out before we lost the light, and suddenly the whole car was in flames. It turned from a barbecue to a bonfire on the backstraight."

"Couldn't even get the crew to come in and help me, but just because the radio didn't work in the backstraight, and I hear that that's still possible, right? (crowd laughs) You guys didn't fix that. Well, that's good, all right. Listen, it's a real honor for me to be here. It was a real honor for me. I used to take cars in the back streets of Kentucky racing when I was a little kid. Now, when I brought Days of Thunder to Jerry Bruckheimer (producer) in the 1980s, it's not just about racing. It's about the community and the people here. There's something very special about racers and the racing community."

"It's a culture, and I think that I was very proud to be able to reflect that in the first Days of Thunder, and I'm honored to share it with the world, but I just wanted you all to know that's basically what we're gonna go for with this one. Give the audience that opportunity to understand what it is as a team, as a community, what it is for NASCAR -- the speed, the excitement, and all of that danger and stuff. Of course, I love it. Anyways, real pleasure, and thank you for the very welcome. We're here, we're just gonna do the best we can, and I really respect you all, and thanks for welcoming me."

The film will be released in theatres on June 28th, 2028. Jonathan Levine will direct with his upcoming film 'Mr. Irrelevant' scoring high praise in test screenings. Mega producer Jerry Bruckheimer will lead the charge for a sequel to a film that was released almost forty years ago.

What is your favorite Guy Ritchie project?

Sad news for fans of 'Suits' and the royal family, as Meghan Markle won't be joining season 3 of 'The Gentlemen' after backlash in the UK was so strong against her casting that producers on the Guy Ritchie drama series were forced to take back their offer.

Tina Brown, the former Vanity Fair editor-in-chief, released an article on Substack that talked about the reasons why: "The backlash was so intense, it became untenable to go forward. This does not bode well for Meghan’s acting comeback in the UK."

Markle hasn't acted since she left 'Suits' at the end of season 7 in 2018, and she and her husband, Prince Harry, just announced they are moving from Los Angeles back to London after their Netflix producing deal was downgraded.

What is your favorite romantic comedy film?

Great news for fans of the 2003 romcom 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days' that starred Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, which helped set the dating culture back further than Tinder or Bumble has. A sequel is officially in development with both leads returning

The original film starred Hudson as a magazine writer who bet her friends she could make a guy fall in love with her, then have him break up with her, while he played an advertising executive who bet his friends he could make any woman fall in love with him. Naturally, the two came together, clashed and ultimately ended up together in declarations of love that would get you blocked in the real world. Don't look up my Facebook messages history.

I think this film still holds up pretty well, so I'm glad they are doing a direct sequel and not a bad remake with the cast from 'Love Island.' What do you think the plot should be?

What is your favorite adventure film?

Great, great news for fans of Nicolas Cage's 'National Treasure' franchise, as director Jon Turteltaub told a crowd at the Philadelphia Visitor Center that the third film is officially on the fast track with the full cast coming back.

“I have not said anything before this, but you deserve to have the scoop. It’s finally real. Now, it’s Hollywood real, meaning things could happen. Nick gets hit by a bus, there’s no National Treasure 3. If I get hit by a bus, there’s probably a National Treasure 3. Welcome to Hollywood."

If you remember in the second film, the President played by Bruce Greenwood told Nicolas Cage's Benjamin Gates about a secret page in the American Presidents' Book of Secrets that he requested Cage's help with. With current politics in the country very toxic, Turtletaub has to tread lightly, weaving politics in: "We have to be very careful, but I don’t feel we are allowed to ignore it. I think we have to include that idea in the story somehow without making someone feel put off."

While that book page should be the main treasure hunt in the film, another question remains, and that's if the TV series spinoff 'Edge of History' is canon and if the characters will appear. Justin Bartha, who played Gates' partner Riley Poole, actually appeared in the show and was shown being even richer and a lot more famous with his own private jet.

I loved the first two movies, and I can't believe it's been almost twenty years since the last film came out. Cage definitely deserves to be in big-budget cinema films and to get away from straight-to-streaming films he's been doing way too long.
