Our latest is former doctor and author Adam Kay - writer / comedian. His hilarious books about the human body have kept children chuckling for years. πŸ‘…πŸ‘

Adam didn't use to have many funny books at home growing up. It was only when he got older and read funny books for adults that he realised books could be like that. He said, β€œThey don’t just have to educate or tell a story or be something you have to learn for your exams. They can make you laugh.”

This picture, from the latest issue of Science+Nature, was taken at Crater Lake in Oregon, US. 🌎

πŸŒ‹ The seventh deepest lake in the world, it was formed 7,700 years ago from the eruption of an ancient volcano called Mount Mazama. The explosion was so powerful it blew the top off and caused the mountain to collapse inward, creating a six-mile-wide crater that over time filled with snow and rainwater. 🌊

Making sense of the universe

Science+Nature is a brand new magazine packed with all the incredible information, amazing images and must-know facts that you would expect from the team behind The Week Junior β€” with extra wonder and marvels!

Edited by the award-winning writer Dan Green (author of the best-selling Basher Science books), each issue of this 60-page monthly magazine is designed to ignite curiosity, inspire exploration and stimulate a passion for knowledge in 8- to 15-year-olds. Every issue is jam-packed with wonder; taking readers on a voyage of discovery, from the depths of the oceans to the outer reaches of the cosmos, and from the days of the dinosaurs to our high-tech future. The eight-page The Lab section features hands-on experiments and step-by-step activities, as well as a monthly guide to the night sky for young stargazers.

And, if that isn’t enough already... every issue comes with a GIANT double-sided poster to pull out and stick up.
