Acousticdope Records was founded in 2020 by Davide Ruberto and Joe Armstrong with the purpose of producing and distributing music we personally like to hear and dance to. We aim to produce and release great music spanning tech, house, deep - always with a dedication to high quality and what we like to call 'sophistication'. genres and includes elements from funk & soul, rock'n roll, disco, etc. A well-known figure in the international dance music scene for over 20 years, Davide has dedicated his life to music, be it performing as a live musician (alone or in bands, including for Jovanotti, for example) or producing music (including a stint in Los Angeles in the early 90s). He has an extensive list of productions, remixes etc from over the years. He has spent the last 8 years or so producing underground / tech as a ghost producer for various DJs. As Creative Director of Acousticdope Records, Davide is responsible for the production of our music and selection of external artists. Sharing Davide's passion for music, Joe started djing when he was 14 in Munich, Germany (where he grew up) and then later in London and all over Europe. When he wasn't working, Joe was either out searching for vinyl or in clubs listening and dancing to house music. After university, Joe chose to go into law and then private equity and is now the COO of a scale-up tech company. As Managing Director of Acousticdope Records, Joe is responsible for everything on the legal & business side of things.
