Passionate and detail-oriented UX/UI design and research graduate with an MSc in User Experience Design from Birmingham City University with a strong background in human-centred design, user experience research, and customer engagement. My experiences include conducting user research, crafting user personas, and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance product design and functionality. During my time at Birmingham City University, I spearheaded several research-focused projects to boost users’ satisfaction and accessibility. I led the development of a dog-walking app designed to enhance the experience for both dog owners and walkers. This project involved conducting research, developing user personas, and performing usability tests to assess user integration and interface configurations, all of which ultimately led to increased user satisfaction. Additionally, I conducted the design and research of an Accessible Snake Game, which addressed visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive impairments, as well as a responsive Health Website featuring interactive elements to boost user engagement. Furthermore, I completed a dissertation on the usability of AR for colour-blind users with Adobe Aero by employing mixed-method research and user testing to improve object recognition and user confidence. These projects have refined my skills in developing user personas, mapping user journeys, and translating research findings into practical design improvements. Moreover, they enhanced my analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, driven by my passion for delivering innovative and user-focused solutions.
I also acquired software development skills through a BSc in Computing in Software Development from the Atlantic Technological University, Galway, Ireland, where I developed strong technical expertise in coding, UX, and system design. I created a 3D Shooting Game using Unreal Engine, co-led the development of a Gesture-Based System Game using Unity, and developed a Database Web Application using MySQL and JavaScript, enhancing scalability and user engagement through efficient data management and user-friendly design. Additionally, my experience working in the front-of-house at various restaurants has given me a deep understanding of the user experience by allowing me to anticipate customer needs, quickly resolve issues, and enhance overall satisfaction. This role taught me to interpret customer behaviour, adapt service methods, and provide personalised experiences, which are essential principles that closely align with user-centred design. The growing dependence on technology for daily activities has fuelled my interest in using digital tools to enhance user interaction. I am eager to merge my customer insights and technical skills to create seamless and intuitive digital experiences. With my expertise in UX/UI research, design, and software development, along with a solid understanding of user experience and customer satisfaction, I am enthusiastic about contributing to the creation of user-centred products and services by driving research-based insights and product strategy.
