The aim of our course at the end is to be able to write and speak better English!

1- Vocabulary building session:

Words are the smallest units of our composition that we should take care to select them carefully and craft them properly to make sense in a sentence that is complete in thought and construction.

In that respect, we will make deliberate attempts to add more words into our vocabulary stockphile. You will surely learn how to do it!

Then, we will determine how many words do we know so far since we left our formal education. Is it 10.000, 15.000, or 20.000 or less than that?!

In fact, the more words we have, the more ideas we will have to express ourselves. That is why the techniques of how to accumulate more words and to make them readily useful are essential for our writing and speaking development.

2- Techniques of writing constructive articles and formal reports

The art of writing and speaking is very vital and it can’t be overemphasized!

First, if we want to compose our thoughts so that we could express ourselves, we should start by mapping our minds clearly. Respectively, we should follow that by writing good sentences complete in thoughts and grammatical construction.

We should learn how to make paragraphs and know how to pile them together and in a logical order.

Lastly, we should work out from which perspective do we want to write our report or article: Is it a narrative story, descriptive in nature, argumentative or exposition. Could we select two, or more approach or mix them all together?

We will, however, conclude the course by composing a complete article or a report which has direction and aim: introduction, body and summary or conclusion?

3- Speaking on the other hand, has the most emphatic parts in our course. We will learn how to prepare our scripts, pitch our voices and select effective words. Just as writing technique has been shown earlier, so does the speaking technique. It should also enjoy the same treatment.
