“Protest the White House Couldn’t Stop!”
In 1981, William Thomas began a protest against nuclear weapons outside the White House. Soon joined by Concepción Picciotto, this small tent became the longest continuous protest in U.S. history, lasting over three decades.
From nuclear disarmament to raising voices for Palestine and Kashmir, this vigil stood as a symbol of global resistance. Despite multiple attempts to shut it down, courts allowed it to continue proving that one voice, with courage, can echo around the world.
