⭐️Such a pleasure interviewing filmmaker for about her powerful debut feature Surviving Earth.

We talked about recovery, grief, creativity, music, family, and the challenges of making films as a working-class woman in today’s industry. What stayed with me most was the film’s message of compassion, hope and helping people to feel seen.

Thank you, Thea, for your honesty, generosity and for sharing both your father’s story and your own journey as a filmmaker. 💛

Surviving Earth is on Amazon Prime and BFI Player now - don’t miss it !! 🎬🔥

⭐️The Women’s Recovery Mural⭐️ in Caledonian Park..

I spent five months the process, and the mural was unveiled in summer 2025 with Mayor Jason Jackson. Our short film was also shortlisted for the Recovery Street Film Festival 2025. 🏆

Huge thank you to Professor Sally Marlow and the fantastic team Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King's College London for hosting a brilliant Recovery Street Film Festival screening and discussion. 🎬

We shared RSFF films with a super receptive audience of 120 and had a rich, honest conversation about recovery storytelling on screen.

Great to be joined on the panel by Nicola Hollinshead Islington People's Theatre and Performing Recovery Editor Alex Mazonowicz.

You can watch their films The Recoverists and IS at www.rsff.co.uk 🎬
