The official score for ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ - the new film from Abel ‘’ Tesfaye, starring himself alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan - is released today as a double LP and double CD 📀

Serving as a companion piece to the film, this release marks his final project under Tesfaye’s iconic pseudonym ✨

On this day in 1964, The Beatles released ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ in the UK 🔄

A landmark in Beatles history and a snapshot of a band redefining pop music, this was the first of their albums to feature all original songs - and the only one entirely written by Lennon-McCartney 🎶

Recorded here in Studio Two with SIr George Martin at the helm, the sessions took place between February and June 1964. Engineers included Norman Smith, Geoff Emerick and Ken Scott 🎛️

The album served as both a film soundtrack and a standalone classic, and it’s still sounding as sharp as ever 💫

Today’s the day - the much-anticipated Oasis tour kicks off tonight in Cardiff 🎤

To mark the occasion, we’re looking back at Oasis recordings in our home over the years, captured through the lens of renowned music photographer Jill Furmanovsky.

We’ll be releasing a collection of six exclusive limited edition prints from 14 July - each signed and numbered by Jill (edition of 125) - available in-store and online only from the Abbey Road Shop.

Jurassic World: Rebirth - out now 🦖

The epic score for the latest chapter in the Jurassic saga was recorded right here in Studio One, with legendary composer Alexandre Desplat carrying the torch from John Williams ✨

Not only that, stepped out of the screen and into the orchestra, performing a clarinet solo for the recording of his characters’ theme 🎶

Sessions were engineered by .dawes. Dan Hayden was recordist and .com_ was runner. The soundtrack was also mastered here by 🎛️

Hand-built using rare vintage parts from the '60s and '70s, this pre-amp was originally introduced as the all-purpose amplifier for EMI's legendary REDD.51 mixing console and quickly earned ‘holy grail’ status among engineers for its uniquely punchy and aggressive sound. The most famous recording studio in the world...

Abbey Road Studios has been at the forefront of music creativity since Sir Edward Elgar’s inaugural performance back in 1931. An awe-inspiring location, popular with leading orchestras and artists including Florence and the Machine, Kanye West and Adele, Abbey Road has hosted many landmark recordings and technological breakthroughs.

The most famous, and oldest, purpose built recording studio in the world, Abbey Road is of course synonymous with The Beatles, but its unparalleled history spans the invention of stereo and the wild experiments of Pink Floyd to the creation of film scores for movies including Star Wars and Skyfall. Abbey Road was declared an English Heritage Grade II listed site in 2010, but the focus continues to be on the future and helping to spread the expertise and knowledge present within the building to a new generation of musicians, engineers and producers around the world.
