Phrases and Examples:
1- Echar un vistazo (To take a look)
"Voy a echar un vistazo a este libro antes de comprarlo."
"I’m going to take a look at this book before buying it."

2- Dejar plantado (To stand someone up)
"Me dejó plantado en el restaurante, ¡qué mal!"
"He stood me up at the restaurant, how rude!"

3- Estar como pez en el agua (To feel like a fish in water)
"Cuando estoy en la playa, me siento como pez en el agua."
"When I’m at the beach, I feel like a fish in water."

4- No dar pie con bola (To be off-track)
"Hoy no doy pie con bola, todo me sale mal."
"I’m off-track today, everything’s going wrong."

5- Tener un buen ojo (To have a good eye)
"Mi madre tiene un buen ojo para encontrar gangas."
"My mom has a good eye for finding bargains."

6- Estar en forma (To be in shape)

8- Ir al grano (To get to the point)

9- Hacer la vista gorda (To turn a blind eye)
