Introducing the long-awaited addition to our arsenal.

The TechnoDolly 25, stood proudly by its older brother the TechnoDolly 15, the industry standard fully repeatable robotic telescopic camera crane…

So, why use the 25 instead of the 15?
Well, the obvious one - it’s length, at 25ft instead of 15ft, it has significantly longer reach.
It’s also (on paper) three times faster.
SuperTechno have given every film production what they’ve been asking for!

But the 15 has advantages too.
It’s much quicker to set up.
It’s cheaper to hire.
It may not be faster, but it is extremely rigid!

Both available now, with the crew you know.

I’d like to make an important announcement.

After much thought and a lot of really helpful discussions with some of our lovely clients, we’re making a step change this Autumn at Sandstorm.

One of the things that has always made Sandstorm different is that our work has been about creating incredible content with no hidden surprises, rather than just shooting and editing film. As the years have gone by, more and more of our role has been broader content production rather than merely being a film studio or a production facility or as many people know us ‘the guys that do TechnoDolly’.
We’re often asked to get involved more as a longterm partner rather than just a supplier on a one off project.

It therefore makes a lot of sense for us to shift our focus much more to the content production side of our business. To do this we are moving out of the Old Dairy site in Badbury and relocating to a couple of other sites, one still in Wiltshire, the other closer to London.

Studio 3 in all its glamour, ready for a big shoot this week!

When we opened Studio 3 in 2019 we didn’t realise quite how in demand it would be, stages of this size (5600 sq ft) were in short supply. The slight slowdown of 2023 has finally given us the time to put in the finishing touches, like giant sound baffle doors and a full overhead permanent lighting gantry… ‘Finishing’ is a strong word though, standing still has never been a Sandstorm option.

🎬 SANDSTORM SLATES ROUND 2 DEADLINE EXTENDED TO APRIL 26TH 🎬

Round 2 of our free-to-enter script writing competition is open for submissions. We’re extending the deadline to give us time to focus on finishing post-production on the Round 1 winning entry. This opportunity is open to all scriptwriters, offering the chance to have your concept produced and fully funded by Sandstorm. You retain the rights to the concept and you get paid.

Any submission received from the 1st of September 2023 will still be in the running. We won’t look at any entries until after the deadline so you won’t be disadvantaged if you want to take more time to refine your idea.
