Success hinges on writing things down.

In your head 💆🏽‍♂️: “I need an emergency fund.”
Written down 📝: “I will build a £12,000 emergency fund by December 2027.”

In your head 💆🏽‍♂️: “We should invest for the children.”
Written down 📝: "We'll invest £250 every month into their Junior ISAs.”

In your head 💆🏽‍♂️: “I want financial freedom.”
Written down 📝: “I need £600,000 invested by age 50, producing enough income to make work optional.”

Twenties: Experiment & risk e.g. invest, start that biz, etc.

Thirties: Learn from mentors.

Forties: Do what works.

Fifties: Leverage experience.

Sixties: Make work optional.

Tbh, if you do this well enough, work optional will arrive before your 60s.

A massive thank you to the London Stock Exchange ‪London Stock Exchange LSEG for inviting us to deliver a Financial Literacy workshop to young adults from across the country 😀❤️❤️

They also supported the young adults with 100 signed copies of our new book, The Wealth Habit.

Financial Literacy isn't something we all grew up with, so to see the London Stock Exchange doing something about it for 15- to 18-year-olds is powerful!

And they didn't stop there...

The 2-day Finance Summer Work Experience event covered sessions on wealth building, AI, Entrepreneurship, Skills for Success, Investing and Pensions, Networking, Career Planning and much more!

Attendees even experienced a real Market Close event, seeing behind the scenes of the stock exchange.

Getting involved has definitely made our year. Our sons even came along to learn from the various sessions.

Seeing copies of our book in the hands of the next generation was beautiful. They're starting well.

Judging by the top quality of questions and enthusiasm from these young people, I'm confident that their futures will be bright!

We loved meeting them all.

Today is a very special day. Please join us in celebrating our 15-year wedding anniversary 🥳❤️❤️

Getting married to Mary is hands down the best decision I've ever made in my life.

We were barely 28 years old when we got married, so imagining 15 years into the future felt like an eternity.

So much has changed around us in 15 years.

We've faced trials and tribulations in these years.

But love has remained and continues to flourish.

I'm reminded of this scripture:

"God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them."

God has blessed us abundantly in this time together.

We've raised wonderful children.

Experienced career changes and navigated them well.

Had immeasurable impact together.

Grown stronger in love.

And so much more!

This pic is a throwback to how our journey began in 2011.

May we continue to live, love, laugh and be surrounded by people who truly care 😊

Greetings from Niger State, Nigeria 🇳🇬. The adventure continues. It's our first time here.

When we heard about Zuma Rock 🪨, we just had to visit.

It's a large natural rock found in the 15th century and rises 2,379 feet (725 m) above sea level. It is EPIC! and mysterious.

Before going, we sat first for naija breakfast 😋 (boiled yam, plantain and egg stew) and then set off on our journey by road from Abuja to Niger State.

We did a pit stop at a few historic locations.

Nigeria is so vast, and everywhere you visit, there is something very different to see. Lots of natural beauty.

We were literally the only ones here. It's a major water reservoir with water flowing into the dam from 3 other states.

It was lovely for our children to experience all of this with us.

If you only visited the usual spots in Nigeria, you won't even know places like this existed, and there are much more.

You'd need a good local driver.

Then we started driving towards Niger State and already we could see the epic epicness of Zuma Rock from afar.

The clouds arrived for drama 😀

It's so hard to capture how huge this rock is. When you're there, it's like, WOW! Super imposing.

Locals actually live here. It was interesting to find ourselves between two massive rock faces.

Crazy people 😂. All we could do was dance in the rain. It felt special to actually be in a place people only ever see on Wikipedia.

It's a special thing to be able to visit these places. Obviously, it took lots of planning but the bigger point for us is that we're living a life of Financial Joy today 😊

Making wise decisions about money as a couple has helped us choose to live and enjoy today.

A version of this is possible for everyone, depending on what they want out of life.

For us, life is for living with intention, making sure we're enjoying today while planning and working towards tomorrow.
