You may not realise it, but you represent something to many people. Last night, we found out what ours was.
We were invited to host Black Finance Talks at the
We were pretty tired nervous to do it, but we did it because financial education and empowerment matters for our communities.
30 seconds into walking into the venue (not even to the event hall), that's where it all began.
We were flooded with love 😊.
People said things like:
"You don't know me, but I hold you both in such high esteem. You represent so much in my life. "
"Your advice comes to me just at the right time after I've prayed for something. Like God uses you to speak to me "
"You have a way of telling me off about my finances in a loving way"
"I love you. I just love to see you both together, your family, and your growing achievements."
"What you do is more than finances. It's your values, it's honest, it's a picture of togetherness our community needs, it's progress"
"I've been a subscriber to your channel since day 1. You have taught me so much, and I share your videos with my family. "
Etc.
This photo was taken last night on our train journey home around 11.30pm.
We reminisced about the event, and it dawned on us: We represent so much to so many people.
Even when we are tired and don't feel like making a video or writing a post, we should do it because more people than we realise depend on it.
👉🏾For some, it's a lifeline.
In the same way, I'm writing this post to remind you that you too represent SO much to people than you realise.
If you've been wanting to do something or slowly giving up because of lack of traction, remember who you're doing it for.
It's not about you, it's about them. You're changing people's lives for the better.
You may never meet them all, but they’re out there — watching, learning, growing because you showed up.
Keep going ❤️
