The Phase Group Mix continues with an entry by close friend of the label and our guest at the TC LK launch this weekend at Spanners, Scottish selector DJ Peanut.

London-based DJ Peanut is known for her mastery of dark and psychedelic downtempo sounds as well as bass-heavy, dub-wise club fair. She can regularly be found playing in some of the capital's finest musical establishments including Ormside Projects, Spanners, Kindred and The Gun as well as regular trips back north to play in venues like La Cheetah, Berkeley Suite and Exit in Glasgow and residencies on Clyde Built Radio and Noods. Katie has been invited to join multiple Phase Group line ups in the past, either solo or playing back to back with her regular spar partner Lo Kindre, which shows the appreciation we have for her skills behind the decks.

Her Phase Group Mix delivers exactly the kind of heads-down listening journey through dubbed out, bass-and-noise-driven downtempo club sounds that we love. A great warm up listen ahead of her set at Spanners this Friday.

For our first release of 2025, Phase Group return to where we started with new music by label founders MR TC and Lo Kindre, under the moniker of TC LK. Their self-titled debut album marks the first collaborative recordings by the pair to see daylight since the release of the PHASE001 EP in 2019.

The new album sees the pair reaching for darker and heavier territory, where modulation and delay enact mind-bending effect on warped bass lines, dubbed out breaks and mangled samples.

TC LK is released in the form of a digital album alongside a very limited amount of 10” dubplates featuring ‘TLPTK’, ‘Aro’ and ‘Bouncy’, hand-cut by Henninspace at Copyshop Studio in Dresden, available exclusively via Bandcamp.

Phase Group will celebrate the release of PHASE008 with a TC LK live show alongside DJ peanut and Rick Shiver at Spanners in London on the 28th of March.

The latest Phase Group mix is delivered by T.V.S.T.

T.V.S.T. lives in Berlin where he keeps himself busy presiding over the excellent Kashual Plastik label, booking for one of Berlin’s havens for outsider, experimental and electronic music, arkaoda Berlin and making music in outfits such as INKASSO, primitive structures, Edition D'Art and Crude Fact.

His Phase Group mix takes us on a moonlit walk marked by voices and emotions. From lo-fi DIY tape songs through outsider folk and smoky melancholic psychedelia via lurching and whirring percussion and industrial experiments. This one will pull on the heartstrings and excite the mind.

Don De Lenguas (or the gift of tongues) is the supernatural ability that allows someone to speak languages ​​they do not know, fluently vocalizing syllables similar to speech, and which is related to states of delirium, trance, enchantment, rapture and mystery - all of which can be found in the latest edition of the Phase Group Mix, provided to us by Malu.

Malu is a DJ and yoga instructor from Spain, currently based in Berlin and known for her versatile selection at parties around the city and excellent radio show Don De Lenguas on Radio Relativa.

She will be joining Kulku and Love-Songs on the 30th April to complete the line up at Kulku 'Reset To Be' Release Party at Berghain Kantine
