We're in awe of Aesop's retail architecture โ€” itโ€™s all about localized universality, where a strong global identity is filtered through the local atmosphere.

Each store is uniquely tailored to reflect the cultural and material landscape around it, creating a memorable experience for every visitor. These images capture eight different Aesop stores around the world:

In China, the architecture of the new airport store is inspired by the island of Hainan, resembling a deep ocean cave and featuring algae to form the ceiling light and entrance column. Across the UAE, variations on sculpted minimalism explore sand-toned curves, deep marine blues, and sleek modernism โ€” each one distinct, yet unmistakably Aesop. In Italy, the brand leans into retro elegance with pastel tiles, while in South Korea, the store embraces cooler tiled geometry with a refined, laboratory feel.

From captivating electric neon setups, to crystal-looking sculptures embedded with addressable LED lights and all-white inflatable landscapes, this brand sure knows how to command attention on the high street!

Moncler's retail strategy leans heavily on immersive storytelling and high-impact visuals, reinforcing its position as a luxury brand with a bold aesthetic. Over the years, the brand has cultivated such a distinct visual language that its displays are instantly recognizable - even before you spot the logo! ๐Ÿคฉ

This week, weโ€™re exploring gesture-focused installations!

ใ€ฐ๏ธ โ€œResonanceโ€ by Studio TISH translates visitorsโ€™ hand movements over a water artwork into shifting visuals and evolving soundscapes. Using real-time sensors and fragment shaders, the installation creates a dynamic, responsive environment.

๐Ÿค โ€œTOUCHโ€ by Studio Roosegaarde features a sensor field that detects when two visitors join hands, triggering a transformation of the exhibition space into a galaxy of starsโ€”a poetic visualization of human connection.

๐ŸŽผ โ€œOrcha-103โ€, created by a team of students from Gobelins, lets visitors conduct music with hand gestures. Using motion tracking and generative sound processing, it transforms movement into a live audiovisual performance.

Wrapping up the week with some luxury retail eye-candy that's been on our minds lately!

First up, Diorโ€™s stunning window displays in and totally blew us away. The intricate paper-made fairytale characters stepping out of a book felt like a dream come to life ๐Ÿงšโ€โ™‚๏ธโœจ

We're also still in awe of the Louis Vuitton x Murakami collab, which has been popping up in gorgeous interior spaces and kinetic window displays around the globe ๐ŸŒผ ๐ŸŒธ

And last but not least, KARL LAGERFELD's sleek kinetic handbag installation caught our attention with its clean, minimalistic elegance ๐Ÿ‘œ ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Weโ€™re excited to share with you a digital project we delivered for H&M's Barcelona store back in summer 2023! โœจ

We designed a series of playful & dynamic graphic overlays, to bring the latest collections to life in a unique way. The final animations were displayed on H&M's large-scale interactive screens produced by Outform, inviting customers to discover the various looks through real-sized models.
