The Libya National Oil Corporation (Libya NOC) Announces the Bid Round Roadshow in Istanbul, Türkiye!

Libya’s first exploration licensing round in 17 years features 22 onshore and offshore blocks across strategic hydrocarbon basins, including 19 confirmed discoveries. These blocks offer a rare and exciting opportunity for upstream investment and strategic partnerships in one of North Africa’s most resource-rich nations.

Taking place on the 17th of April 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye, the Libya Bid Round Roadshow – Istanbul is organised by the Libya National Oil Corporation (Libya NOC), MEDOIL ISTANBUL, IN-VR, and The Energy Circle.

Mr. Farhat Bengdara, Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC), engaged in high-level discussions with senior executives from major oil companies, including Eni, TotalEnergies, Repsol, and Wintershall Dea, during the 5th Libya Energy Week organized by The Energy Circle by IN-VR These talks focused on strengthening partnerships in oil production, refining, and exploration, with the aim of positioning Libya as a key player in the global energy market.

In a significant announcement during the Opening Ceremony and Remarks at the 5th Libya Energy Week, Mr. Farhat Bengdara revealed the NOC's plans to launch a long-anticipated bid round for exploration opportunities that have remained inactive for over 17 years. He encouraged global oil majors to seize this new wave of opportunities and deepen their investments in Libya's energy sector.

The discussions followed Mr. Bengdara's opening address at the 5th Libya Energy Week, The event brought together representatives from over 28 leading international oil companies and organizations.
