We're proud to announce that Piano to Zanskar, our first feature documentary film, will have its world premiere on June 23rd, at the longest running film festival in the world: the Edinburgh International Film Festival​.

There will be two public screenings during the festival, and we would be delighted if you'd like to join us for either one of these:

- Saturday 23 June 20:55 at Cineworld 5 (world premiere)
- Monday 25 June 20:30 at VUE Omni 11

As you might know already, EIFF is very dear to our hearts as we had the pleasure of presenting our yet unfinished film at the festival last year, as part of the Works in Progress event, where we were lucky enough to win the main award. Heartfelt thanks to the organisers for inviting us again, this time as part of the Documentary competition.

"Children of Zanskar" is an award-winning photobook by Jarek Kotomski, published by our independent imprint BF Editions. It portrays the youngest inhabitants of Lingshed, one of the most isolated settlements in the world, perched at 13,000 feet above sea deep in the Indian Himalayas.

The book features over 100 images in colour and black & white, printed and produced under the expert eye of Joanna Niklas, hardbound and beautifully hand-stitched together. We're happy to announce that the limited 1st edition is now finally available for worldwide sales.

"Children of Zanskar", the photography series published earlier this year by our new imprint BF Editions, is among the Winners of LensCulture's Emerging Talents 2017 awards. If you're in New York early Spring, come to the Klompching Gallery where we will be showing a selection of photographs together with the other laureates from March 7 - 17, 2018.

Our long-time collaborators Dagny R and Vincent Rebers visualised this ingenious sound installation called 'Paraboles' for London's largest pier. They got shortlisted and today is the last day to vote for them - let's show them some support, it's easily the best project of the bunch! ✌️

‘Paraboles’ is a playful sound installation made out of a series of concave sculptures, cast in colourful concrete like material. The objects act as rudimentary, urban auricles with the ability to collect and amplify sounds from and around the site.

The large sculpture located at the end of the pier acts as a central piece to the installation. It is a platform to speak out, listen and perform. The main unit is accompanied by an array of adjustable smaller pieces, dotted along the pier. By rotating these sculptures, the visitor can choose what to listen to; from the conversation of the two fishermen on the other side of the pier, to the fighting seagulls flying above. All of these sounds define this place. Enhancing them provides the chance to observe, understand and ultimately connect the site and its people.
