Ok so who’s with me? The Cancer Research UK 100 Push Ups a Day in September Challenge! Head to Cancerresearchuk.org to sign up! 😎🙏🏾

I talk about how cancer has affected many people around me, and why I’m supporting Cancer Research UK’s 100 Push-Ups A Day challenge throughout September. I explain that 100 push-ups a day isn’t as hard as it sounds, you can break it up into small sets like 10 with breakfast or 20 on a walk… and it all adds up to help their life-saving work. I invite you to join starting September 1st.

If you’re like me you probably like to write stuff down but journalling has always been something I’ve tried and failed…ALOT 😂

I would try other people’s journals, or popular “recommended” ones and they always try and do too much in the name of trying to “stand out”. So it would last like 1 month.

Until!!!! I spent a few long sessions deep in the YouTube rabbit hole came up with this elite combo which since March I haven’t missed a day. That’s 178 days!! And the benefits I’ve seen mentally have been crazy. I mean crazy good!! 😅

If you want me to show how to set it up let me know and I’ll get it done! 👊🏾

Trying to win any and everything will make you lose more than you think. Another example… Ever tried to win an argument by any means necessary? Yeah how did that one end up!

I talk about getting promoted to purple belt in jujitsu after three years and how it reminded me that the desperate need to win everything holds you back. I share how losing taught me more about my vulnerabilities than winning ever did, and how that mindset shows up in everyday life as procrastination, perfectionism, and avoiding feedback. My key takeaway is that you don’t have to win everything to win. You have to lose some too.

Sincerely, Future Gabe.

We talk about how feeling like a failing parent is common, but the truth is no one has it all figured out. I share my journey of letting go of stress, blame, and comparison, and encourage forgiving yourself, growing, and teaching from your own perspective.

One thing I’ve always tried to do is not make a big deal of a fall like this one. I always remember when they were younger and they would fall over, I would stay silent and they would just stare at me like “What happened”. 😂

If I made a big deal and let him quit like he wanted to it probably would have cemented a new fear that had no business being there.

Last week I was promoted to Purple Belt and I was genuinely surprised, so pumped, and a little bit of imposter syndrome tried to creep in like “Am I ready?” (but didn’t last long. Haha)…

Trusting the coaches, what they see and how they assess each person is a huge part of the process and really hits home on controlling the controllable which was showing up consistently, learning and growing my game…

3 years ago I’m grateful that I finally listened to Christian Ivaldi and took the step to get onto the mats because BJJ has done more for me than I ever thought it would…

and to me it’s more than just a belt, it’s a reminder everyday that small consistent action compounds. It’s a reminder that I can do hard s**t and have Clarity amongst the Chaos!

Shout out to all my training partners & coaches (past and present), at New Wave Academy Croydon - 👊🏾

Now to line up my first comp at Purple! 😎

Big up Rolling Shots for the pics! 📸 🔥

ad. What are you still doing from your 20’s that you really shouldn’t be?

With the kids off for summer holidays, I need to make sure my maintenance plan is up to date, cos “I’m tired” ain’t solving nuttin. 😅

But little things besides exercise and BJJ like staying consistent with my creatine makes a big difference and has quality products, trusted by 1.3 million customers every year.

When will it stop being a cycle of trends and real change actually happen? Do you agree or am I bugging?

We discuss the viral moment where a woman criticized Jeremy Doku for prioritizing being present for his child’s birth during the World Cup. Beyond that incident, we explore how men’s mental health awareness and supporting fathers felt like a trending topic that made everyone feel relevant, but has now fizzled out. We notice the absence of Father’s Day campaigns this year compared to previous years, and question why important conversations always seem to cycle as trends rather than create lasting change. We reflect on whether we’ve regressed in this conversation and what it will take to bring genuine, sustained focus back to these issues.
