Working closely with the brand director and the wider editorial team, you’ll deliver a multi-channel content strategy that drives brand awareness, engagement and membership growth. You’ll take ownership of commissioning, writing and editing standout food content, collaborate with chefs, restaurateurs and expert contributors, and play a key role in bringing major campaigns, memberships and events to life across web, app, email and social.

What happened in hospitality last week? An update from the CODE bulletin newsletter:

1. Terrific news for fans of the old Laughing Heart in Hackney: Charlie Mellor is back with a new restaurant and bar, and it will be in Soho. Osteria Vibrato, billed “an antidote to concept dining”, is set to open in February 2026.

2. Farsin Rabiee and Ziad Halub of East London's Logma have found a permanent base for their popular supper club. Logma Café Bistro will open for Iranian and Iraqi comfort food, coffee and pastries five days a week from the new year.

3. Honest Greens or Hg, as it is henceforth to be known in the UK, has arrived in Soho from Spain. Its focus is on good nutritious food for every day, with dishes ranging from garden bowls and overnight oats to miso salmon.

4. Esmeralda’s Mayfair, a New York-style late-night lounge, has opened at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair. Expect late nights, live music, caviar nuggets, and cocktails by Anna Sebastian (CODE’s Women of the Year 2025).

Phil Howard made his name with high-end cuisine, first at The Square in Mayfair and, since 2016, at Elystan Street in Chelsea. Always a superb pasta chef he turned his attention in the pandemic to NOTTO, originally a fresh pasta delivery service. He and business partner Julian Dyer opened the first bricks-and-mortar NOTTO Pasta Bars on Piccadilly in 2022, followed one year later by another in Covent Garden. On 22 December he’s reimagining the concept for a new audience in the City, with the launch of a fast-casual NOTTO in the City of London: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0qkHHZ0

What happened in hospitality last week? An update from the CODE bulletin newsletter:

1. A decade after it launched in Paris, French hospitality group is set to launch its first British property in autumn 2026: 16 Charles Street, a ‘social and dining club’ in a Grade II*-listed Georgian townhouse in Mayfair.

2. and Jordan Frieda are bringing their fresh pasta concept to Soho, a decade after it opened in Borough. The Kingly Street site, their third site after Shoreditch, will have 80 covers across two floors and a PDR for eight.

3. co-founders Ed and are launching Cometa, a Mexican seafood restaurant, in February next year. It will replace their Charlotte Street wine bar and specialise in quality seafood from top UK suppliers.

4. JKS Pubs (one of CODE’s Happiest Places To Work) has been fully acquired through a private investment round led by founder and MD , under a new name, . It is eyeing growth, with eight openings targeted in the next three to five years.
