A few months ago, Dad lost his best friend, his dog Mika. Mika went everywhere with him—accompanying him to work on the farm every day and even riding the equipment with him. She was by his side from the moment he got up until he went to bed. Her loss hit him hard, and he mourned her deeply.
His granddaughter discovered a litter of puppies that were born on his birthday and felt it was a sign. She decided to keep it a secret for over two weeks. Then, she and her family took a road trip with her daughters to pick out a puppy. When the time came, she delivered the new puppy to her Papa.
The family anticipated an emotional reaction, but what they witnessed exceeded their expectations. Despite his tough exterior, Dad’s big heart shone through in that tender moment. ❤️
