✨ Now that the Strictly sequins have settled after week one, we wanted to take a moment to say how proud we are of our talent, Ellie Goldstein.
Ellie lit up our screens on Saturday night with her joyful cha cha cha, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
We’ve had the privilege of working with Ellie for nearly nine years! Watching her grow from a fun-loving teen into the confident, talented young woman she is today. Off set, Ellie is full of energy, humour and warmth. On set, she is the ultimate professional: focused, determined, and always giving her all.
She’s not only learning dance routines but also continues to master lengthy scripts in her acting work, as well as preparing for modelling and speaking engagements.
Ellie has had so many messages of love and support over the past few days. It’s a joy to see people recognise what we at ZBD have always known... that Ellie is a true professional and a role model!
She’s showing the world what’s possible when talent meets opportunity, especially for young people with Down syndrome and learning disabilities. The days of underestimation are behind us. With the right support and belief, there is no limit.
Ellie is doing Strictly because she’s capable, driven and because she wants to! She is loving every single moment.
A huge thank you to the Strictly team at the BBC for their outstanding care and support.
Lastly, a shoutout to all of our brilliant ZBD talent who are breaking down barriers every day. Thank and to our incredible team working tirelessly behind the scenes to create a more inclusive, kind and representative world.
