This announcement from the BBC pulling Basement Films’ Gaza Medics film they commissioned has destroyed all credibility the BBC has.

It puts the final nail in the BBCs coffin as a trusted national broadcaster with a mission to be the definitive UK source of global news.

The ultimate irony is that this BBC news report on this story involving the BBC is very balanced and fair. We live in a truly Kafkaesque world where the BBC can impartially report on itself but not on global conflict where tens of thousands of women and children are being killed… 🙄

The announcement comes the day after broadcast their own harrowing film presented by the excellent Alex Crawford, Gaza: Doctors on the Frontline.

We have been wearing keffiyehs for many years. They are the only remaining factory in there is a bit of a waiting list for them but we are very happy to receive this one today in the colours of the flag of Palestine. We will be proud to wear in in solidarity with the oppressed people of and particularly in solidarity with the journalists who have died and those who continue to work to bring words and pictures to us so that we cannot ignore the suffering. 🇵🇸🍉
