🗣‼️ GERMAN TEEN NEEDED ‼️🗣

We're looking for a female teenage voice, aged 16 - 18, to take part in a small German audio project on Sunday 13th July!

No voice acting experience is required, you just need to be a clear and fluent German speaker! This is a paid opportunity and will be recorded in a professional studio in central London.

Can you believe it's been 12 years since we flew out to Austin, Texas for Cesar's episode of My Hero?!

My Hero was an original series created by Colette and produced by Footstep Productions, where young people were given the chance to meet someone who inspired them and get a glimpse of what their own future could look like!

In 2013, young Cesar got to meet one of his heroes, Dr Mark Moffett (aka. Dr Bugs!), and that moment helped shape his future. Cesar slowly followed in Dr Bugs' footsteps, and turned his passion into a profession.

Today he runs a successful business called ANTS HQ, where he sells ants and ant-keeping equipment to enthusiasts across the UK. He also visits schools and zoos to educate the next generation of young people in the business of ant keeping!

Turns out a spark of inspiration and hard work can go a long way. From Austin to ants, 12 years later the passion (and the colony) just keeps growing! 🐜🐜🐜

Back in October 2024, we had the opportunity to partner up with as the focus of another fantastic ELT video project we produced for Digital Learning Associates.

School in a Bag is an amazing organisation that provides school bags filled with essential educational and healthcare supplies to children across 58+ countries! We had a wonderful shoot as the students from a local primary school got involved. Not only did they raise money through a sponsored walk, but they each packed a school bag that was then sent to children overseas.

Education has always been at the heart of what we do here at Footstep, and we’re beyond proud to support such a fantastic charity. A huge thank you to School in a Bag for the vital work they do!

A fabulous Footstep Family reunion! We hadn’t all been together for over 20 years. From left to right Javier Alcina, Jorge Peris and Melisa Martinez. They all worked as voices for Spanish courses Javier as a professional actor and Jorge and Melisa when they were at school.
Javier has lived and acted and taught around the world including China and the US and is now teaching acting in English in Madrid. Jorge has also lived and worked around the world and is off next week to set up a Spanish centre in Casablanca. Melisa is a researcher and has finally settled in Madrid having come back from setting up a research centre in Senegal.

A few years ago, Colette was asked to produce some audio materials for Brilliant Publications. Founder Priscilla Hannaford asked her to write some songs to help teach Spanish, German and French. In Colette's words... "I'm no composer, so my colleagues Len Brown & Andrew Garratt helped with that one!" But with a love for playing with languages, and some expert input from Anny King for the French, and Len Brown for the German, they created some wonderful and engaging resources for primary schools.

We're looking for 4 x 11-13 year olds to film with us for half a day. It's a feature about buying clothes online using a new app specifically for young people. If you know anyone that would be interested or have children who have some friends who might like to take part - please DM us. We'll also need to film in one person's home - so a group of diverse friends would be perfect.

This weekend marked 8 years since our 25th anniversary party!! Lots has changed particularly for our young cast members. This year has seen lots of graduations, travel, amazing jobs and the struggles of making it in artistic careers.
For our editors: new families, changes of jobs and roles and promotions.
You are all amazing and an inspiration!
