A few weeks back we had come through to record her powerful vocals on By Any Means - the lead single from ’s Reprise project - a collection of songs curated by the label, the proceeds from which will go into funding organisations that support victims of police brutality. Shouts to on production/co-write and with the mix & master 🔥🔥🔥

One thing we care deeply about here at Crosstown is a great drum sound! Every detail matters.

We pride ourselves on correct mic selection and placement, tuning and not to forget the quality of the drums themselves.

We have a range of fantastic vintage kits, including two incredible sounding Rogers 'Big R' kits, a 1970's Ludwig Vistalite and also another classic Ludwig in Oyster Pearl finish (see our website for sizing). A long list of hand percussion instruments on top of all this too! Get it right from the start by getting your rhythm tracks sounding a cut above the rest!

Studio B is the perfect place to delve deep into the analogue world and get your recording standing out from the rest.

The mighty 24 channel Tweed Audio desk is flanked by racks of impressive outboard gear including well renowned delay and reverb units, compressors, filters and much more. We also proudly boast a Fender Rhodes, Hammond Organ, Juno-6 Synthesiser and upright piano to really put some soul into your recordings.

A couple of months back we had the honour of recording ’s Orchestra brass section. We used ribbon mics for this one - what a sound!! Can’t wait to hear the recordings back at the 2000 year old P**a Amphitheatre tomorrow night!

Brilliant horn session with the supremely talented Matt Roberts (Trumpet) and Josh Arcoleo (Tenor Sax) last week for Gardna’s debut album, produced and co-written by the legend Brad Ellis. These guys wrote and recorded some amazing horn parts in rapid time, writing and playing everything by ear. Top drawer players!!

Had the pleasure of recording the orchestra earlier this week for an amazing project put together by and orchestrated by !!!
This was our first string/horn section to ever enter the building and the results were fabulous! Using mainly ribbon mic’s which are definitely some of the best ribbons on the market we mainly relied on the Bmx2 stereo microphone with a few other spot mic’s to make up the balance if needed.
