Some DJs play records. Some DJs collect records. And then there are people who seem to have made a lifelong mission out of finding the ones you didn't know you needed to hear.
Mark Daley, AKA Daley Digger, is one of those people.
A vinyl obsessive, collector and eclectic selector, Mark’s musical world starts with jazz and goes pretty much wherever the good stuff takes him: funk, soul, Brazilian sounds, disco, hip hop, broken beat, global grooves, house and plenty of beautifully unexpected detours.
He hosts Wonderfulsound Libraries on Soho Radio and Celestial Vibrations on Voices Radio, and is part of the Melomaniacs collective, regularly bringing his crates to some of London's best vinyl-focused spaces.
We invited Mark into W1 Radio for a conversation about the records, the digging, the culture and the stories behind the music. And, naturally, we couldn't let him leave without getting behind the decks.

Cumbia straight out of Peru, mixed with bits of Latin you wouldn’t usually catch in London clubs. No overthinking, just rhythms doing their thing and a crowd fully on board.
