I am saddened to hear of the passing of Patricia Routledge yesterday. I worked with Patricia Routledge only once. It was for my Original Studios Cast recording of Richard Rodgers final Musical, I REMEMBER MAMA. When I contacted Patricia to ask her to be one of the Aunts in the recording, she replied, “I don’t normally take on secondary roles anymore. But in respect and appreciation of the great Richard Rodgers, I will agree to be one of the Aunts in the recording”. She was a joy to work with in the Studios and we talked about recording 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE but sadly it never happened. Wish I persevered and made that recording. Thank you, Patricia, for all the joyful pleasures that you gifted the World. Rest in Peace. ❤️
