I’m getting ready for Digital Women Live with NatWest this week.

I can’t wait to hear some amazing speakers, learn about new strategies for now and the future, see friendly faces and connect with new people in the digital world.

After quite a few tumultuous years (lockdowns and caring for loved ones), this will be my first in person event since Digital Women 2019. So it’s even more special.

Thanks Lucy and Team and NatWest for creating such a fabulous event.

So this Win is the cherry on the Cake. A Cake made up of hundreds and thousands of wins! 😉 Its taken time to get here. I love that it has. Love the journey I have been on to get here!

And with by my side I know I can do anything. I know I can be me. I know how to keep opening doors. I know how to pop that 🍒 back on the cake if it were to fall!

And I know how to see and celebrate my Wins every single day and for that I am eternally grateful and that carries me through whatever life throws at me.

So perhaps that is the Biggest Win of them all! All I know is that this Win didn’t happen overnight and that’s a good thing!

Reels don’t work for every type of content! Such as this type of post, which is easier to scroll through in your own time, quietly and slowly. Something Carousel posts askew great for. They give your audience control over how they engage with your content.

So Reels are fantastic for creating and sharing content, but it’s all about balance and using the different features Instagram provides to connect, inspire, educate, share with your audience.

Life is about balance, so is Instagram.

🌟4 New IG Features🌟

1️⃣ Reels can now be up to 90 seconds. Great stuff, but remember to hook your audience at the beginning, get their attention, be clear what it is about, how it will help them, what value it will bring them
2️⃣ Pinned Posts (max 3). Great way to showcase posts (Reels, Carousels, Videos, Images) and have them save to the top of your profile. Depending on the order you pin them will also depend on the order they appear, so you can even decide what your audience sees first.
3️⃣ Interactive Stickers on Reels (great for engagement and stopping the scroll)
4️⃣ You can now import your own audio easily.

And lastly I love this Filter. My mum used to have a Cinquecento when I was little. My dad spray painted it the most amazing 🍏 green. Imagine us zooming (well it seemed fast to a 5 year old) around London in the 70s. Lots of fun and just how I am now. Creative, fun and a little bit quirky.

Yes, I’m back! And I’ve missed you so much. I’ve missed sharing weekly (sometimes daily, we know Instagram likes to update things all the time!) strategies and tips.

I’ve missed doing one to one Instagram Coaching, I’ve missed creating strategies with creative business owners, supporting creatives and artists to understand how to use Instagram to showcase their work, grow their Instagram community, makes sales, enjoy using these squares (that aren’t so square anymore!) and very importantly do it their way.

I’ve missed the conversations about how to make it your space and how you can feel confident to show up and have fun creating content that your customers new and loyal will enjoy. I’ve missed the coaching sessions filled with creativity and laughter. I’ve missed you. So much.

I took time away to care for loved ones, I have to admit it’s been a rollercoaster of a time, it’s taken time to adjust to a new way of life, but with the love and support of so many of you I feel strong and feel it is time to open doors.

I’m starting off by delivering coaching and working on their curriculum for the most amazing . A social enterprise that enables women to return to work, change careers, start up or scale up a business. Go check them out.

I trained, changed my career and started up with them by my side. What great foundations from which to go off and do my own thing and help those on a similar but different pathway.

So I’ll be here, sharing Instagram updates, my views on how you can make them work for you as a creative business. I’ll be sharing marketing strategies,inspirational stories. And very importantly making sure you feel supported, are looking after yourself and enjoying using this space to promote your work, get more 👀 to see it, find new people to grow with, connect with, feel inspired by and make sales along the way.
