Kicking off with Parisians punks Les BÉCASSES (band page) taking a torch to outsider pop icons The Awkward Silences' 'Getting Ready For My Life To Begin' and ending with the lo-fi warmth of New York King of antifolk Jeffrey Lewis' interpretation of New York antifolk Prince Seth Hebert-Faergolzia's charming 'Garbage Night'; with Hitchin' country trash 3-piece Trailer Crash channelling the pure creepiness of masters of the sinister David Cronenberg's Wife's 'You Should Have Closed The Curtains'; and the finest purveyors of the so-called South London scene, Meatraffle, bringing a melancholy trumpet-tinged touch to gig singalong favourite 'Suicidal in a Rural Town' by more recent signing, disco dancefloor flaneur, Pink Eye Club plus, more by En Heat, Slate Islands, Sergeant Buzfuz, Sheepy, Red Peril & Lucy's Diary, in between.

Cherry red vinyl includes inner sleeve notes and some poster-worthy artwork designed by In/Tro with La.

October is quite the month for Blang!

Not only are we turning 20 (with a massive party at The 100 Club on the 23rd to celebrate that and our compilation LP!) but WE ARE THIRLLED to announce another two vinyl album re-releases from Jeffrey Lewis' back catalogue - the debut classic 'The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane' (originally Rough Trade 2001) + the critically acclaimed 4th album '12 Crass Songs' (originally Rough Trade 2007) - both of which ran out of their first pressings long ago!

Both JL LPs will be available from Fri 10th Oct via our Blang Records Bandcamp https://blangrecords.bandcamp.com/music - not in time for Bandcamp Friday (which is today) but when is there not a good time to support independent music?!
