I’m sooo ready for autumn in London 🍂🕯️🧦☕️ but seems like the end of September will be hot according to the forecast!! so enjoying the sunny days while we can 🌞

meanwhile celebrating 2 years of friendship with these guys ♥️ making friends in London as an adult is not easy and sometimes what really makes the difference besides vibing and making effort to spend time with each other is proximity.

we are lucky to live nearby in this case and have coffees with bagels quite regular on our fav bench at Kuro (pic 4) or go for a run in the park but what I’ve been preaching here in my lil corner of the Internet is that you can create ✨digital✨ proximity first.

so what I mean by digital proximity is posting content on Instagram about your life so that people can find you before you’ve even met or so that people you only met once and (in case followed each other on Instagram after a short small talk) could get to know you better through your stories and posts and see if they can relate to your POV or share a hobby with you and that’s how you can become closer and ask each other out for another coffee!

I think the Internet gets blamed for making connection shallow but it’s also just the fastest way to find people who already like the same things you do. the biggest part of my London circle came out of social media so I’m encouraging everyone to post something about you here and there!

what’s your opinion on creating digital proximity? does it work for you too?

back to school (to the office in London twice a week now) and couldn’t be happier about it after 6 years of remote work 👩🏼‍💻

my first office job was a Brand Marketing Intern at Nike (highlight “Nike”) back in July 2016 and I LOVED every part of it, but especially the social side of it

but things changed in 2020 when I went fully remote like a lot of other people and I haven’t properly worked at the office since then

now so I’m so happy to be back to being around people, especially when you are part of the most fun marketing teams 🌟

I believe if you are building a life from scratch in a new city, especially an ambitious city like London, you NEED to have as much face to face interactions as possible to build genuine connections, proper network and adult friendships of course, so I’m here for it now 💁🏼‍♀️ what are you thoughts on this?
