Today, we’re looking back at everything Spirit of 2012 has achieved. 💥

Because of National Lottery players, Spirit of 2012 has been transforming lives and communities since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 💥

By funding events that break down barriers, supporting more than 64,000 volunteers and inspiring over 3.5 million participants, this legacy is one we can all be proud of. 💥

Although Spirit of 2012 will close at the end of 2025, their story doesn’t end here. The Spirit Knowledge Bank stands as a record of their work and a resource for others to build on their legacy.

This video was created by My Pockets, an organisation that works with young people to share their stories through film. Watch to see the incredible impact National Lottery players have made.

Across the UK, men are finding new ways to connect and talk about their mental health - backed by £80 million of National Lottery funding.

Our latest story explores what that looks like on the ground, from walking football sessions to the Manbassadors network in Greater Manchester, where sports clubs and even barbers act as the first point of contact for life-changing intervention and support.

Thanks to National Lottery players, £30 million is raised each week for good causes, helping power projects like these every day.

This week, we gathered in London for our winter team day to reflect on a busy year for our team and the wider National Lottery family, and to turn our focus to 2026. 💛

We were hosted by The National Lottery-funded The Foundling Museum, the site of the UK’s first children’s charity and the only space dedicated to people who have been in care and those who care for them. 💛

We were given a brilliant tour of the collection by Louise, who brought the stories to life, from the lives of children who came through the Hospital’s doors to the artworks donated by artists from William Hogarth to Tracey Emin.

It’s always special to meet National Lottery-funded organisations and see the impact of their work in person. 💛

The Foundling Museum is just one of many places supported thanks to National Lottery players. 💛

A huge thank you to Louise and the whole Foundling Museum team for having us.

Bradford 2025 has been nothing short of extraordinary. 💥

We spoke to Bradford 2025 Executive Director, Dan Bates, about their journey - from starting with a blank slate in 2023 to building a team of more than 130 delivering hundreds of events across the district. 💥

From an opening event that brought 20,000 people to the city centre, to a reimagined production of The Railway Children, and the Turner Prize 2025 exhibition - there have been many unforgettable moments. 💥

Funding from The National Lottery has helped bring this year of culture and creativity to life across Bradford.

A huge and heartfelt thank you from the National Lottery Good Causes team for making The National Lottery’s 31st birthday such a special one. 💙🤞

Since the very first draw on 19 November 1994, The National Lottery has raised a game-changing £50 billion for over 650,000 Good Causes across the UK. 💙🤞

This week, we marked the occasion with Crossed Finger Selfie Day - a chance for National Lottery-funded charities, grassroots groups, projects and venues to join us in saying a huge, collective thank you to players. We were so pleased by the incredible response from organisations of all shapes and sizes. 💙

We also welcomed MPs to Westminster for a special drop-in event, giving them the chance to hear how National Lottery funding is making a real difference in their constituencies. 🤞

The National Lottery has been a game changer for the UK. 💙🤞

And it’s all possible , National Lottery players.

Taff-Ely Foodbank in Tonyrefail, Wales, has been changing the game for the local community, providing more than 3,700 food parcels and 33,500 meals to local people in need in 2024.

It was a huge moment when TV presenter AJ Odudu surprised them with £134,745 of National Lottery funding to continue providing emergency food, expand their vital community work and launch a new baby provision service for local families. 💙

National Lottery players raise £30 million each week, helping fund good causes like Taff-Ely Food Bank across the UK.

The National Lottery were delighted to be joined by national treasure Celia Imrie in Warwick to surprise Warwick Arts Centre with the news that they’ve been awarded £10,000 of National Lottery funding from Film Hub Midlands on behalf of BFI's Film Audience Network. 🎬

Warwick Arts Centre has championed inclusive arts for decades, working to make cinema more accessible for everyone. 🎬

The funding will support ‘Handle with Care’, a new film season featuring cosy classics, films exploring caregiving, and workshops on ethical filmmaking, all designed to reach underrepresented and less-engaged audiences. 🎬

Thanks to National Lottery players, £30 million is raised every week for good causes across the UK. Brilliant projects like this can happen because of you. The National Lottery
