British motocross rider Jamie Wainwright has died at the age of 28 following a motorcycle incident, leaving his family, partner and friends mourning the loss of a much-loved sportsman from Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire.
Wainwright’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief among those who knew him, with his partner of 13 years, Hannah Murray, paying an emotional tribute to the man she described as her best friend and soulmate.
Murray said the loss had left her struggling to imagine life without him, describing Wainwright as the person she turned to for everything and someone who brought laughter into her life every day.
“I love you more than anything in this world,” she said in her tribute. “My right arm, my best friend, the person I would go to for anything and everything.”
She described their 13 years together as the best years of her life and said she would continue to love and miss him for the rest of her life.
Partner pays emotional tribute
Murray said Wainwright had been her “whole world” and recalled his personality, kindness and the happiness he brought to those closest to him.
She wrote that she had never imagined having to face a life without him and said everything now felt different following his death.
“You were my whole world. 13 years with you have been the best years of my life,” she said.
Murray also reflected on the depth of their relationship, saying they had planned to remain together forever.
“I will miss and love you for every second of the rest of my life,” she added.
Her tribute has offered an insight into the profound personal loss suffered by those closest to the motocross rider.
