What goes on in my sketchbook:
Planting seeds.

If you're an artist with a family it's important that the passion you had, before parenthood found you, doesn't dwindle away. This is something that happens to alot of creatives, because parenthood is taxing on time. But every mickle makes a muckle so keep chipping away in your sketchbook keeping your skills sharp and your mind focused. I'm learning quickly that this journey has it's bumps and potholes along the road which are there to teach you how manage time.

One of the things which are important as a self publisher is to bring your books up to the standard. It's an understanding that the more knowledgeable you become the smaller the gap in quality between your work and traditionally published books becomes. Shout out to for the critique it doesn't go unappreciated 🙏🏿❤️💛💚

Let me add a little context....

Give thanks to those who have asked me to illustrate for them it's always an honour when someone picks your work out of all the artists they've been exposed to.

However, I been a tattoo artist for some time now and I am a tattoo artist who can draw out of my own imagination and has done throughout my time working on skin. This alone is enough commission work.

Me taking on more work would be unfair to the author/client who has worked extremely hard to get to this point only to be disappointed by their illustrators lack of enthusiasm.

Illustration like tattooing is a craft that's not for the weak at hearted and I am blessed with the experience in one to know how I want to mould the next experience.

Now available at Kozy Korner Books N More LLC.
It’s a powerful thing to watch a story travel, transform, and finally return home.
Big respect to the team at Kozy Korner Books and to our manager Tamar Lawrence for making this connection possible.
