Liza Tarbuck is the charismatic conductor of a live show we make for BBC Radio 2, that thrives on her interaction with the listeners.
The murmuration shares freewheeling and beautifully nonsensical tales with Liza, and we wanted to take that joy to other platforms. So we’re thrilled with the work of Jord O'Brien, at Oskar illustration, who’s really brought our Liza to life. BBC Radio 2 Oskar illustration

Over the past year, we have delivered some of the year’s biggest live music and theatre shows, visualised podcasts and international TV events, recording and filming more shows than ever before. Our production house, SPIRITLAND CREATIVE, picked up an ARIA Gold award for producing Trevor Nelson’s Windrush 75 Royal Albert Hall concert & BBC Radio 2 show, while our facilities department, SPIRITLAND BROADCAST, captured the UK’s first podcast stage show broadcast live to cinema, recording and mixing two 5* West End productions of Shakespeare’s Macbeth for global cinema release.

Earlier this year, we were proud to be the first broadcast facilities company in the UK to deliver a live podcast show live to cinemas – with hit comedy podcast, Help I Sexted My Boss — live at The London Palladium.

Working closely with hosts William Hanson and Jordan North, Audio Always, and distributors Trafalgar Releasing, we provided full audio and video production facilities and project managed the entire broadcast — orchestrating the live to cinema broadcast of their sold out London show to over 400 cinemas across the UK and Europe.

Our exceptional audio and video OB trucks — Spiritland ONE and TWO — were onsite to capture audio and visuals, including VT play out and a 26-strong audience mic rig. Each camera also recorded Slog, in camera, for a multi-cam post production workflow which has since been delivered to streaming platform OnAir, and is available to watch for two years worldwide.

Something wicked this way comes…. a brand new production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, in cinemas across the globe from February 2025.

Recorded live at Donmar Warehouse, our Sound Supervisor Will Thornton captured Gareth Fry’s unique binaural sound design, modifying and mixing it specially for the big screen.

50 Episodes of Gabby Logan's The Mid•Point Podcast.

It’s been a huge honour for us to work with Gabby Logan, to produce the last 50 episodes of her podcast - The Mid•Point!

Gabby has always been blazing a trail in sport broadcasting, so it should come as no surprise that she is now leading the charge when it comes to what it really means to be at the halfway stage of your life and changing perceptions of ageing one stereotype at a time.

In the last 50 episodes, we’ve heard from presenters and journalists, GRAMMY award winners, Hollywood actors, Michelin Star chefs, former politicians, and every member of the Logan household! We’ve listened to experts speak about a range of things, from gut health to epigenetics, wild swimming to s*x. And we've heard stories about everything from surviving cancer to flying a fighter jet over Iraq, menopausal Orcas to ni**le tassels.

Occasionally there have been tears but always lots of laughs!

Much of Mike Thornton’s career involved recording live concerts and recording sessions using various trucks and carry-in rigs, and his fantasy Christmas present is the Spiritland One recording truck, which he considers to be at the current pinnacle of both tech and working environment.

Two huge LIVE podcast records with Robert and Russell in the last month. The first in the beautiful Pavillion with and the second in the flagship Soho store - both were beautiful spaces to work in.
