🌬️ Parry - Teasel / Blackberry 🌬️

Brighton-based Parry returns to Scuffed with Teasel/Blackberry, a two-tracker inspired by the changing of seasons and experimentation with field recordings, channelled into the framework of functional club music.
Through breaking down, resampling, and tearing apart samples and field recordings, Parry emerges with an exploration of how the organic and electronic environment can come together - from the driving techno tool Teasel, spurred along by razor-sharp synthesis, to the broken bass of Blackberry, scattered with samples of woodpeckers and fire pits 🔥

Ecuadorian producers and link up for a high-pressure two-tracker, bridging the gap between the heavy low end of UK soundsystem music and the rhythmic complexity of Latin America 🔊

‘Ah / Eh’ came together between the two artists during a month-long stint at Zunfo’s home studio. Central to the sound of the two tracks is a reimagining of the acid aesthetic, taking the classic 303 sound out of its usual context ⚠️
