Heart is whole!! 🧡 Our first Mehndi Night at 🤩

What started as an idea two years ago finally came to life, and we pulled it off!

My goal was to recreate a traditional Mehndi Night for everyone to experience, regardless of culture, religion, or background 🧡

When I first started my journey with henna, the question I was asked most was: “Where can I get this done?” We solved that 🙏🏽 The next one was: “Where can I find quality henna?” We worked hard on that too ✅

And the third question, my favourite, “I’ve always wanted to go to an Indian wedding; they look so fun!” …That’s what inspired this night, I wanted to create that joy and energy for people who’ve never had the chance to experience it 🙂‍↕️

The Mehndi Night is usually held a day or two before the wedding, it’s when the bride’s family is most relaxed, the laughter is loud, the dancing is wild, and the vibe is pure celebration!

Last night, we brought that spirit to life, on a global stage, in a space that’s always been special to me and deeply inclusive🥹

Thank you for believing in my vision and giving me the platform to create something truly special🙏🏽

I wanted to wear a proper Punjabi suit, and made it for me in just a week, the fit was perfect and exactly the vibe I had in mind 🧡

Shoes came off after two hours — I did good! 😂

One thing I’ve learned in over a decade of business, relationships are EVERYTHING!

Some of the opportunities I have today came from connections I made 10 years ago. You never know who’s watching, remembering, or waiting for the right moment to reach out 🙏🏽

People forget titles, emails, and job roles, but they never forget how you made them feel. The energy you bring into a room lingers far longer than any pitch or presentation,

I’ve seen business acquaintances turn into close friends, collaborations turn into long-term partnerships, and random conversations turn into once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.

If there’s one piece of advice I’d give to anyone building a brand or a career: lead with genuine energy, kindness, and consistency. The relationships you nurture today will shape the doors that open tomorrow.

In between the celebrations, there is work 🧡 The good kind 🥰

I made it a life goal since I was 15 to bring a SouthAsian beauty regime to the mainstream Spotlight, funny thing is that when I first launched I almost had to downplay that…

Fast forward around eight years later, here we are celebrating Diwali on platforms I could have only dreamed of 🧡

I remember wearing Mehndi in school growing up and wanting to hide my hands because of the comments I would receive, ‘is that poo on your hands?’ Or ‘that smells’ 😬

Now, there isn’t a week where I am not rocking our brand and wearing henna like a price of jewellery or a lipstick, to finish off my look 🤩

Culturally mehndi certainly isn’t going anywhere, and my dream is for it to go beyond our culture and become an international staple beauty regime 🧡

I think we are getting there, and with the community like this, it can only get better 🥰

My dad always used to say, ‘Not every day is a Sunday.’
I get it now, some days are big, pinch-me moments, and others are the calm in between. Both are just as important🙏🏽

I’m so grateful for these highs, but I always keep his words in mind… not every day is a Sunday, and that’s what makes the Sundays feel so special 🤩🧡

I used to fast at Karwa Chauth growing up for my future husband, now my Husband has said he doesnt need me to fast so I dont do the ritual, however I still like to put mehndi on my hands because of what it symbolises 🧡

I will never forget a client that came to from Jalandhar, they were on holiday and she was of course fasting for karwa chauth. She had no idea where to get her mehndi done from as its such an important ritual for this occasion🙏🏽

She stumbled across our henna bar in Selfridges and immediately got her henna done. She did try to haggle on the price, you can imagine what they charge in Punjab compared to what we had built, but she paid full price, all four sides of her hands. I was of course grateful for her to have her henna done at our brand, as I am to all our customers, but she held my hand and thanked me for creating a space for her to be able to fulfil her riwaj (tradition) while she was on holiday🥰

That is a moment that will stay with me, happy Karwa Chauth to all celebrating x🥰
