We continue our artists’ announcements with the very special
Gabriella Ranito-Baltazar is a Leeds-based artist whose work primarily explores abstract forms through a range of mediums, resulting in her signature textured compositions. Her atmospheric pieces are deeply rooted in personal experiences, emotions, and the surrounding environment. Honing in on the idea of balance within our experiences, and finding good in bad and bad within good, with each artwork crafted to evoke a sense of individuality and depth.
Baltazar’s approach is to elicit a personal response from her audience. While each piece holds its own specific meaning, she encourages viewers to engage with the work and interpret it in relation to their own lives and experiences. Emotion, atmosphere, and memory play pivotal roles in her practice, as she seeks to capture that which cannot easily be expressed in words.
Born of mixed descent and spending much of her childhood in southern Portugal, Baltazar’s work is infused with the colors and textures inspired by the region’s beaches and rural landscapes. These elements serve as a subtle yet powerful influence, shaping both her creative vision and artistic identity.
Gabriella will be showcasing some of her works down at the on February 1st for the UNTITLED Exhibition head down to come check out some of her incredible works.
