And So She Thinks

And So She Thinks Writing, PR and marketing about my favourite things in life. Ultimately, I work with messages - and creating the right messages to resonate with an audience.

My skillset and experience are varied - covering copywriting, journalism, marketing, emails, social media, and PR - but always centred around communication and creating a connection. The fact I work across sectors and disciplines also means I think creatively and laterally, and am adept at finding new angles and story ideas. I’ve been working in marketing for over thirteen years, and have been a f

ull time freelance communications consultant for the last four. I'm an NCTJ trained journalist, so know how to tell a good story that resonates with the reader, from idea through to research and publication. I'm familiar with analytics and SEO and know how to use them in the full marketing mix. I have a background in research and insight so put planning and measurement at the centre of communications strategies, optimising for success. Words are my thing, but I’ve been known to enjoy spending time digging into a spreadsheet. Clients include National Academy for Social Prescribing, British Museum, EY, Advanced, The National Lottery, National Trust, BBC, Tesco, Virgin, Mitsubishi, Roche, RSPB and more.

Busy? Stressed? Struggling to find time for yourself?

Join us for a fun and interactive online journalling session designed to help you destress and find focus as you celebrate World Mental Health Day 2025!

Kate McBarron and I will be hosting this event, building on our years of experience, research, and actual qualifications.

Proceeds from the session will be going to Coach Core – a charity that creates sports apprenticeships which drive social mobility. Coach Core supports young adults who have encountered barriers to education and/or employment. It helps 16-24 year olds to access apprenticeship opportunities which boost their educational prospects and employability. This, in turn, creates a positive ripple effect through their communities.

Do come along on Friday 10th October, from 7-8am, get your juices flowing, connect with yourself m, and help us support this worthy cause.

DM for link or check stories.

All before breakfast.

I always said I’d never run a marathon. They’re quite a long way and I’m so impatient I’d get bored easily. But then every time I go watch it I burst into tears at the atmosphere, passion and happiness on the course and in the crowds. I’ve got to experience that. So here we go.

But of course, there’s more than that.

I’m running the London Marathon for Coach Core because two of the things that have brought me the most joy in life are moving my body and building a career I love.

Running makes me excited. It makes me proud of my body - something I never thought I’d feel. It gets me out, is a welcome break from a hectic day. It’s a cool way to explore the city I live in and the places I visit. It’s hard, for sure. But what joy.

I bloody love my job. But it hasn’t always been that way. Growing up, I never really knew what kinds of jobs were out there. I remember being utterly baffled by the kinds of jobs and companies people at uni were talking about - a different world and one not for me. Coach Core helps young people kickstart careers in sport, giving them skills, confidence and real job opportunities. They believe that talent is everywhere, but opportunities often aren’t – and they’re working to change that. I want everyone to have the chance to discover what they’re good at and build a future that excites them.

Coach Core helps young people gain skills and confidence through sport, opening doors to careers they might never have imagined. Supporting them feels like a perfect way to say thank you for the happiness movement and meaningful work have brought me.
