This is Bernadette. When she was an NHS nurse, she asked some awkward questions about a database at work.

She says she found herself belittled, bullied and ignored.

Identified as a whistleblower, she went on to face years of meetings, investigations, and two employment tribunal claims.

In this month's edition of The Modern Mann she tells me how she lost her job, her savings and two court cases - but eventually found validation in a new role protecting other whistleblowers.

She considers what happens when organisations close ranks instead of listening, and why the real answer to whistleblowing isn’t punishing individuals, but fixing the systems that allow the problems to grow in the first place.

Guacamole? Some kind of Western mushy peas? Having travelled fairly extensively in the States I thought I'd seen it all, but this salad bar item in Helena, Montana stumped me... Meet 'Watergate Salad', made from pistachio pudding, canned pineapple, whipped topping, crushed pecans, and marshmallows. Not a bad taste but bloody weird on a savoury salad bar, in this humble Brit's view...

And that's a wrap on season two of my BBC show about Universal's UK theme park project.

This year, we've ridden the UK's tallest rollercoaster, met residents being kicked out of their homes to make way for the park, spoken to the Mayor of Bedford about infrastructure, made a homemade Butterbeer, chatted to Universal fanboys about those Harry Potter rumours, discussed ride soundtracks with a theme park sound designer, and heard from a Disneyland Paris veteran about the secret life of a being a Cast Member in character parades.

It's been a riot! Again! Thanks to my local station BBC Three Counties Radio for commissioning it, and for the wonderful producer Holly Nicholls for making it.
