What can you say and what can’t you say when thinking about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion?
Sometimes it feels like most diversity training just tells you what not to do. Or it tells you what to do without really telling you, exactly, what you should do.
Using inclusive language when hiring is a good example.
Many business owners, leaders and managers know they should use more inclusive language, because doing so will help them attract more talent and improve the diversity of their teams.
Only thing stopping them is not knowing what language is acceptable to use. That is why on our next show we'll be joined by Jennie Child, Founder at Balance.
Jennie has been helping companies achieve intentionally inclusive, bias-free recruitment practices for years with sound, practical advice.
We will discuss:
💡 What is the right and wrong language to use when thinking about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
💡 The context behind language and the framework to getting it right
💡 How language can improve inclusive and diverse hiring outcomes for you and your company
💡 How you can collaboratively discuss EDI internally with your team to power talent attraction.
If you're worried, interested or curious about what language to use when it comes to equality, diversity and inclusion, then I highly recommend you join us on the live show.
