PROJECT KICKOFF: INSTALLATION OF 233 SOLAR STREET LIGHTS AT FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NEKEDE
In a major infrastructural boost for Federal Polytechnic Nekede, the Imo State Representative on the NDDC Governing Board, HON. DR. KYRIAN CHIDI UCHEGBU, officially handed over the site for the installation of 233 solar-powered streetlights within the institution.
The event had in attendance notable dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Nekede and Former Minister of State for Science and Technology, Prof. Henry Ikoh, as well as the institution’s Rector, Dr. Mrs. Basilia Igbokwe.
This project underscores the commitment of the NDDC towards enhancing security, illumination, and overall infrastructure within educational institutions in the region. The solar streetlights will not only improve visibility but also provide a sustainable and energy-efficient lighting solution for students, staff, and visitors to the polytechnic.
