Acclaimed composer, choirmaster, and Classic FM presenter Gareth Malone OBE has written and composed an original song inspired by conversations with patients and staff at The Royal Marsden, one of the world’s leading cancer centres, following a commission by Ralph Lauren. ❤️

Performed by the Capital Children’s Choir and the London Youth Choir, ‘A Little Time’ premiered at The Ralph Lauren Holiday Experience in Sloane Square as part of the King’s Road Lights Switch-On celebration on 15 November. The single is now available to stream and download, with proceeds going to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Gareth is also bringing festive cheer to Classic FM with his Christmas series ‘Gareth Malone’s Classical Selection Box’ on Fridays at 9pm, featuring much-loved seasonal music including winter ballets, Christmas carols, and other festive classics.

Over five centuries since its founding, King’s College, Cambridge is introducing its first all-female choir.

The new ensemble, expected to begin next year, will sit alongside the world-famous all-male King’s College Choir and the mixed-voice King’s Voices, which was set up in 1997 in order to include women.
