Finalising Koffeecup’s trip to ChinaJoy was unreal, the event was larger than life with amazing booths of upcoming games. The creativity coming through from indie games straight through to AAA was amazing!

We were lucky enough to have Haamid attend a VIP dinner with ThinkingAI, where he got the opportunity to meet great connections from all over the world (not to mention enjoy one of the best views of the Pudong Skyline!).

Again, it was such a pleasure presenting at CIGDC. A big thank you to Ukie and the Department for Business for giving Haamid the opportunity to provide an introduction to who Koffeecup are.

We look to connect and support with as many of our Asia connections and counterparts as we have made along the way, and many more, we are sure. 🇨🇳✨

Haamid’s time at CIGDC and Pocket Gamer Connects gave us an incredible platform to pitch, connect, and gain direct exposure to major businesses across the Asian market, the kind of high-level conversations we simply couldn’t have had from home.

We owe a huge thank you to Ukie, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and CIGDC for championing us and making this entire debut possible.

Looking back on a proper milestone for Koffeecup: our very first trip to Asia!

To everyone who took the time to sit down with us, listen to our pitches, and welcome us to the region: thank you. The Shanghai trip isn’t quite over, though : if you’re at ChinaJoy over the next couple of days, Haamid is still on the ground and would love to say hello!

Hoomanz! is live on Xbox Play Anywhere & ROG Ally! 🛸

Sneak around in the dark & scare the stoopid Hoomanz-from your couch on Xbox or on the go with ROG Ally. Just don’t let them hug you in the light!

It’s almost August, which means the annual pilgrimage to gamescom is upon us.

Koffeecup is heading to Cologne, and we’re bringing a decent chunk of leadership with us. Thomas (CEO & Founder), Romain (COO), and Haamid (Studio Business Lead) will all be stationed in the Business Area, warmly hosted within the Ukie booth.

Whether you have a complex development puzzle to solve, are looking for a reliable partner for your next project, or simply want to catch up with a team that cares deeply about the craft - we’d love to meet.

No high-pressure sales pitches or corporate waffle. Just proper, genuine conversations about making games, tackling technical hurdles, and working together.

If you’re heading to Cologne and fancy a chat, drop us a line and let’s find a time to connect! 👇

The artist has labelled this one “Rudimentary,” but we see it as a triumph of cubist design. It’s bright orange, unapologetically angular, and looks exactly like the sort of car that begins to shake violently the moment you try to change into third gear.

Next to it, a digital human dressed for a beach holiday they haven’t actually booked. There is zero high-tech wizardry here: just four wheels, a generous amount of ground clearance, and plenty of character. (And almost certainly no airbags).

We sent Haamid to Mad Fest 26 last week. We’re pleased to report he survived the networking, avoided the worst of the buzzwords, and came back with some genuinely useful notes.

The bit we actually wrote down:

- David Duffield (Livewire): A sharp presentation on how gaming has integrated itself into the very fabric of mainstream culture. (Which aligns perfectly with how we see things at Koffeecup.)
- Gaming as an innovation driver: A session proving that brands in the gaming space are currently at the absolute forefront of tech. Conveniently, we exist specifically to help brands do exactly that.

Haamid also found a legal graffiti wall and spray-painted our logo onto it. We’re choosing to view this as proactive brand alignment rather than a cry for help.

Fortuitously, building those kinds of gaming experiences (not the vandalism) is what we do for a living. So, if your brand wants to get involved in gaming without looking like a parent trying to use teenage slang, we should probably talk.

An exploration of asset tiering, or “how to make a standard piece of fantasy furniture look increasingly suspicious.”

We’re not saying these objects are sentient, but by Tier 5, that cauldron is definitely brewing something highly illegal, and the chest is having a textbook identity crisis. It’s all fun and games until your storage solution grows a massive blue tongue and decides it wants to eat your shoes.

Consider it a public service announcement for your next adventure: if a container looks this ornate, it’s probably best to just leave it alone and walk away.

Haamid Bokhari is off to Shanghai over the next few days!

He’s packing three major events into one trip: CIGDC, Pocket Gamer Connects | Games Conference , and ChinaJoy- official . (Which is either remarkably efficient planning or a terrifying amount of walking. Probably both.)

Huge thanks to Ukie for supporting us in attending this event and helping make the trip possible.

If you’re attending any of them, Haamid would love to say hello. No polished pitch decks or hard sells, just a genuine conversation about making games, solving tricky development problems, or swapping notes on where the industry is heading.

If you’re going to be in town and fancy a proper chat, drop us a line and let’s find a time to meet up.

Another Develop: Brighton wrapped!

The best part of these events is always the people you meet, and this week delivered. Haamid set out with noble intentions to catch the speaker tracks, but immediately got swept up into wall-to-wall meetings with brilliant folks.

Which was great, right up until a local seagull decided to make a very permanent impression on his favourite shirt.

Luckily, Przemek held down the heavy lifting on the learning front, slipping into talks on AI workflows, Steam marketing, and multi-platform optimization.

Though they did both manage to slip away for Magic: The Gathering night on the first evening, which turned out to be a brilliant way to meet even more great people.

To everyone who chatted shop, shared a table, or commiserated over the shirt: thank you for a great week. We’ll be following up properly over the coming days. 👇
