The iPhone 3GS was my first phone, so when a neighbor was selling this one, I jumped on it. Taking photos of the Barbican with this phone felt like introducing a place that is sacred to me, to my younger self!

I find the 3GS to be surprisingly useable- none of these photos have any edits. There’s something nostalgic about the slightly fuzzy resolution.

A lot of people dream of a time when Eames products were affordable and accessible to the masses, but affordability means something very different today.

It’s a relatively new concept for furniture to be as affordable as it is currently. For the Eames to sell their furniture at a price point that would be seen as affordable today, I think it’s likely they would have to compromise their other values.

Barb summer ☀️

I’m reading about 12 different books right now and will finish five, and if thats not an apt analogy for summer plans, I’m not sure what is.

We’re coming up on one year (!) at the Barbican, with no plans of leaving anytime soon. Every new month brings new things to savor. I love living in London, I wish I could tell little Luke I’m up to now.
