The internet is currently having a minor meltdown because an English woman wore an up cycled New England dress on the Career Ladder with . 🏈🤫

They thought it was a corporate fashion faux pas. They thought I was a clueless bandwagon fan.

The reality? As the founder of , my job is to cross boundaries, disrupt traditional industries, and spot raw potential where others miss it. So when I went on the Career Ladder, I wore a 1-of-1 avant-garde piece hand-scouted from emerging Thai designer .

When I told Max Klymenko that “I upcycle people,” I meant it. We take the “raw materials” of lived experience, challenge ageism, and upcycle individuals into iconic talent.

Traditionalists look for rigid rules. Founders look for irony and creative friction.

I’m currently writing about this exact philosophy of radical reinvention and industry disruption in my upcoming book, I Am Grey. Because neither fashion, nor people, should ever stay in the box society puts them in.

William Palmer explores the archetypes of British life through a cast of characters gathered around the humble bus stop. Rooted in British humour and observation, the collection reworks classic menswear codes through exaggerated tailoring, distorted details, and playful irreverence. Drawing on themes of masculinity, corporate culture, and public space, SS27 presents a unisex wardrobe that balances propriety with misbehaviour, bringing a distinctly British perspective into dialogue with Florence’s tradition of craftsmanship and tailoring. The collection is captured through the lens of photographer Alex Raduan in a collaborative visual narrative that extends Palmer’s exploration of character, identity, and contemporary British life.
