Following a typically thickset and dub-flecked outing on Spa In Disco (the low-slung dub disco excellence of 'To My Beat'), Chewy Rubs returns home to his increasingly popular and prolific Bandolier imprint. In its original mix form (track one), 'One Day' is a sprightly slab of nu-disco/house fusion in which bold, sustained synth chords and waves of programmed electronic arpeggios rub shoulders with French language spoken word snippets above a throbbing, Italo-influenced Euro-disco groove. He's also included a more low-slung, atmospheric and arguably superior 'Dub Mix', where deep sub-bass, a trippy extended breakdown and more psychedelic synth motifs catch the ear. Whether edits or original productions, both mixes are excellent.

"Andy Tex Jones has been writing house music for nearly 30 years now. His newest releases focuses on the style of dance music that was hot when he was a kid. Disco music. 'Do You Feel Me' is a sexy slow burner that reminds us of a time when disco blended with r&b, freestyle and pop music circa 1982. The track is raw and ultra catchy, with some perfectly placed sounds that help it give off a vintage sound but also a fresh one as well. 'Barefoot Dancer' is a slick blend of disco and house fusing together. You have the best of Disco elements while the house groove holds strong throughout. 'Disco Tales' should not be overlooked for being last, as we think it might be the coolest track of the three. The funky house sound is addictive and the samples work perfectly in it.
