USM, the renowned Swiss manufacturer of modular furniture, begins an exciting new chapter as it relocates from East to West moving its Clerkenwell showroom to a stunning new retail development in Marylebone.

For 60 years, USM has been synonymous with modular innovation, seamlessly blending function with timeless aesthetics. Launched in 1965 the modular system, based on a chrome-plated steel tube framework with metal panels quickly gained popularity in corporate offices worldwide.

The new Marylebone store offers a captivating showcase of USM’s meticulously crafted modular furniture, demonstrating how it can be tailored to suit any living space. Seamlessly blending flexibility with refinement, USM’s timeless aesthetic and modular design underscore its sustainability and enduring appeal.

The store concept developed by design studio ForEveryday.Life cleverly nods to USM, defining zones and levels using a 350x350mm Haller grid. This means that the floorplan is a reflection of the USM product and creates a space that is easily adaptable, versatile and scalable.

USM’s new Marylebone store will offer an immersive experience, allowing visitors to explore curated residential settings and discover exclusive collaborations with like-minded brands.

Resonate Interiors Rescues and Refreshes 1920s Warehouse for Tradestars Newest Cowarehouse Hub

Resonate Interiors completed an extensive refurbishment of a Southwark-based 1920’ s warehouse, transforming the space into the newest addition to the iconic Tradestars co-warehousing sites.

The building was destined for demolition and Resonate was thrilled to have the opportunity to rescue and refresh the fabulous space.

Resonate Interiors ensured the authentic industrial look and cherished warehouse feel of the building were meticulously maintained.

Nowy Styl and Kusch+Co’s new Northern showroom is officially open for business! After two days of activations to welcome guests to experience the new space the Manchester-based showroom has opened its doors. This expansion strengthens the brand’s UK presence and marks a strategic response to increasing demand and market growth within the northern market.

The new Northern showroom, located in the renowned St Georges house on Peter Street, represents a significant first step into the brand’s regional activation in the area. KI launches the Sebel Chair, made from 100% post-consumer waste in the United Kingdom

Food, beverage and toiletry packaging find a second life in Sebel, KI’s latest launch.

Already pioneers in sustainable plastics, KI’s newest launch Sebel, is manufactured entirely from post-consumer waste as part of their ongoing commitment to sustainability.

With the chair being made from 100% post-consumer waste, it means there is no colourant added. Unlike most chairs that incorporate a colour masterbatch (typically 3% of a chair’s weight and not a recycled material), Sebel avoids this addition ensuring that the entire chair is made from 100% post-consumer waste.

As well as it’s sustainability accolades, Sebel is ergonomically designed to support natural posture and meet the demands of everyday use in learning environments, with durable polypropylene legs built to withstand impact, wear and support up to 220kg. The waterfall seat edge and curved back rest increase flexibility which in turn aid better lumbar support, with a built-in window to provide ventilation.

Maintenance is kept simple for Sebel users, it is lightweight, antistatic, stain resistant and made using a one-piece injection moulding with no finger traps, loose parts or gaps.

KI move to the heart of Clerkenwell: A stunning new flagship showroom, with over 7,000 sq ft spanning across two floors

KI Europe proudly announces the opening of its new showroom on Goswell Road in Clerkenwell, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s evolution and highlighting its commitment to innovation and design excellence. The move celebrates 30 years of KI in the UK, marking its growth by placing KI at the centre of London's design district. The stunning showroom is designed to showcase KI’s range of innovative furniture solutions in cleverly curated zones.

The layout of the showroom is intentional, designed with purpose allowing the product offering across workplace, education, higher education and hospitality to flow through the building.

The showroom design retained some key features within the building, including the Piero Lissoni designed staircase and the surrounding double height space, as well as the floor to ceiling glass partition systems that now define the boardroom and multi-purpose presentation space.

Covering more than 840 m², it is the first office in Europe built entirely using a modular system that can be freely reconfigured without generating renovation waste or CO₂ emissions.

Mute’s new office functions as both an operational hub and a showroom for the Mute Modular system. From conference rooms and acoustic pods to lounge areas and back-of-house facilities, the entire space has been created using Mute Modular.
