HOMEFIELD PREP SCHOOL

As a new term begins in the U.K. we have a range of schools joining the Parkour For Schools Programme and upskilling their PE teams to deliver parkour within their curriculum.

We’re shining a light on the PE team at in Sutton, England, who will be undergoing introductory instructor training on 6th September!

We have an INCREDIBLE opportunity for all teachers and specialists in the Asia Pacific region to learn from Parkour For Schools founder, this November in Bangkok at PHASE Global.

Dan will be teaching a 1 day Pre-Conference Course on exploring physical literacy through parkour, followed by several focused seminars throughout the conference weekend.

PHASE happens 15-7 November at Bangkok

ABOUT THE PRE-CON

This one-day course on 15th November is designed to introduce sports and PE teachers to the fundamental concepts and training principles of parkour/freerunning for use as part of a physical education class in a managed school setting. It serves as an introduction, and enables a sports teacher to initiate basic elements of parkour/freerunning training within the school environment.

Want your kids to be athletes?

Then let them MOVE!

General physical literacy is FAR MORE IMPORTANT at a young age than any sport-specific movement pattern.

PE classes should be filled with:

Running
Jumping
Climbing
Vaulting
Rolling
Spinning & rotating
Crawling
Brachiating

Achieve this through structured play, games and challenges. Play tag, bulldogs, pirates, relay races, obstacle courses, the floor is lava… etc.

Watch their athleticism emerge naturally.

Fantastic work by these teachers on the One-Day pre-conference course, Exploring Physical Literacy through Parkour, at PHASE Conference 2023 in Hong Kong.

We had teachers from schools in Thailand, Ethiopia, China, Singapore, Korea and more, all keen to introduce parkour concepts and methods into their physed curriculums.
