Ad. I am so happy with the porch transformation! It all started with an idea to tile the inside (dare I say it brings a Christmas vibe 🙊) then a full repaint with 2 of new colours

If you don’t have a door curtain for the drafts, I’ve said this for the last 3 winters but you MUST get one! It makes a huge difference in keeping the heat in

True story 😮‍💨 the budget quickly went and we had to make a decision on having a new boiler & heating system, or paying for new windows!

Restoring sash windows has its ups and downs, but ultimately you feel pride every time you look through them knowing you preserved that history for a bit longer

Why oh why didn’t I grout sooner?! I am in love 😍

I’m so pleased I’ve got to this place, but it’s taken a couple of years of questioning what I should do, and experimenting!

Extending the Cooker hood and adding corbels was the BEST decision 👍

I get asked this ALL the time so this is one to 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 ✌️

I’m using Klingstrip in our home to strip decades of paint off everything, and here are my top tips!

1) Do a test patch first to find the optimum time to remove (before it dries out!)

2) Put it on thick! Like really thick!

3) Press the wrap into place - I recommend Klingstrip wrap as it’s thick. Clingfilm is too thin!!

4) During the test patch keep testing to see if it will left with the plastic (as in the videos) it could be a couple of hours or 30 mins if it’s marble!!

5) Don’t let it dry out as you can damage the wood chiselling it all off 👌

You may not always get a clean lift, but these tips will help with your stripping 👌
