Joshua Giles, a Christian prophet and founder of the Kingdom Embassy Worship Center in Minneapolis, has predicted that 2025 could usher in “an era of war for the world.” He cites current conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine as potential catalysts for a broader global conflict, possibly involving the United States and other nations. Giles also anticipates an increase in terrorist activities on U.S. soil but foresees advancements in medicine and technology, including potential cures for certain types of cancer. 
New Year’s Eve Celebrations and Incidents
• Germany: New Year’s Eve celebrations turned chaotic in parts of Germany, resulting in five deaths caused by fireworks and 400 arrests due to riots. In Berlin, 30 police officers and a firefighter were injured. Interior Minister Nancy Faeser endorsed the strong police response to the violence. 
• China and UAE: Both countries showcased record-breaking New Year’s Eve displays. Shanghai featured a stunning drone display at the Baoshan International Cruise Port, attracting over 500,000 viewers online. The UAE’s “Our Story in the Sky” program included over 10,000 drones and numerous fireworks, setting two new Guinness World Records in Ras Al Khaimah. 
• Australia: Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display faced criticism for lacking innovation compared to other global celebrations that incorporated drones and light shows. Despite over a million attendees, some locals felt the display was underwhelming, prompting calls for more creative approaches in future celebrations.
