2025 marks 30 years since the Srebrenica Genocide. During the civil/proxy war between various ethnic groups within Bosnia, hundreds of thousands were killed, millions displaced and 8,000 men and boys systematically slaughtered and buried in well hidden mass graves.

A truly horrifying example of what unchecked hatred, greed and ignorance can lead to even in modern Europe.

May Allah grant his mercy and Rahma upon the victims and their families 🕊️

From individuals such as Piers Morgan, who is now forced to play both sides to keep his profit margins, to state actors, such as Iran, Saudi, and Egypt - all have been bent into submission to act in ways they despise and would never have imagined - in service of the oppressed.

👋 *Action:* Pray for the defeat of Israel at a heavy cost to another oppressive tyrant, Iran. At the same time, ask yourself: if a strong and just ummatic force were to emerge and replace these regimes, what would I do and my role be?

Oscar winning Palestinian-Israeli documentary ‘No Other Land’ has finally aired in the UK. After facing issues in the US, Channel 4 has this week platformed the documentary providing access for viewers in the UK.

Produced between 2019 and 2023 by Palestinian filmmaker Basel Adra, the film depicts first hand the brutal reality of Palestinians living under occupation within the West Bank.

Centred around Basel’s hometown Masafer Yatta, and filmed predominantly on camcorder footage, it documents the extremities of Israeli soldier violence, and the mass expulsion and theft of Palestinian land.

28 May, 2024: Today in History...
.. Israel continues its assault on the southern city of Rafah, resulting in the deaths of 45 people.
.. Spain, Ireland, and Norway have officially recognized the State of Palestine, joining 146 countries on the right side of history.

Since October 7, 2023, and for the past 76 years, much of the world has awakened to the harsh realities of Israel’s apartheid regime.

One day, we will wake up to a free Palestine 🇵🇸 and an isolated Israel, InshaAllah.

Have you ever considered the quality of each Salah you perform and whether Allah would accept them or find them incomplete?

“Did I make wudhu’ properly?”
“Did I pray on time?”
“Did I cover my aurah?”
“Did I attain or demonstrate khushu’ to the best of my ability?”
“Did I rightfully follow the Imam during jamaah?”

If we want our lives to change, we should obsess over perfecting our Salah. The purpose of Salah is to be ever conscious of Allah, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. It is one of the most comprehensive forms of Dhikr (Remembrance). Allah states in a hadith Qudsi: “Out of all the ways through which My servant gets closer to Me, Salah is the dearest to Me.” [Bukhari]

So, we thought, let’s dedicate a series of content to help each other improve our Salah and make the most of (at least) the five Fard prayers to better connect with our Creator in the best way possible, InshaAllah.

We start with a focus on common mistakes during Salah that we often overlook. These are just a handful of commonly seen mistakes that you and I might be guilty of.

Genocide, ethnic cleansing, and displacement of the Palestinians did not begin on October 7. Today marks the day it all began 76 years ago in 1948, the Nakba, or ‘catastrophe’ in Arabic—a day that changed everything for Palestinians and continues to impact their lives.

As part of the Resistance movement to free Palestine, we must equip ourselves with knowledge of history, understand why these injustices happen, and consistently make du’a for our brothers and sisters, for only Allah can grant victory for Palestine, Allahumma Ameen.
