Hey, I’m Becky.
I’m 49. I’m a certified health coach, a lifelong rock climber and ice climber, and I’m passionate about maintaining muscle as we age. I’ve spent years learning how to build strength, stay lean, and protect my energy without extremes or crash dieting.
If you’re a woman over 40 who wants to build muscle in your 40s, stay lean through perimenopause, improve your metabolism, support stable blood sugar, and feel strong and athletic again, this is the work I care about. I believe strength training over 40 should support longevity, protect lean muscle, and improve recovery instead of burning you out.
Here are the unsexy things I actually do:
I protect my sleep.
I get morning sunlight.
I train more than one way.
I add small, consistent load.
I eat protein first most of the time.
I protect my recovery with boundaries.
These habits support muscle preservation after 40, improve body composition, help manage cortisol, and make fat loss more sustainable. They keep my blood sugar steadier, my energy more consistent, and my workouts more effective.
If you’re looking for realistic ways to build muscle as a woman over 40, improve metabolic health, maintain strength during hormonal changes, and create daily systems that actually work, follow along.
Save this so you can come back to it.
Save this and share it with your bestie.
