🔊By Parisa Farhadi Aug. 19, 2025 - In the hills of Temecula Valley, Fazeli Cellars offers more than wine — it’s a celebration of culture, memory, and connection.
Every great wine begins with a story, and for founder Bizhan (BJ) Fazeli, that story started thousands of miles away in Tehran, Iran. Long before Temecula became Southern California’s wine country, Fazeli arrived in America with a suitcase full of dreams and a deep appreciation for poetry, food, and community — values that now define his winery.
Fazeli Cellars blends Persian tradition with California craftsmanship. Guests enjoy sweeping vineyard views, live music, and wines named after Persian poets like Hafez and Rumi — each bottle a tribute to timeless heritage. Fazeli himself is known for his warmth and storytelling, making every visit feel personal.
At the heart of the estate is Babajoon’s Kitchen, a bistro named after Fazeli. “Baba Joon” is the affectionate name his children and grandchildren call him. Serving Mediterranean and Persian-inspired dishes, the kitchen offers flavors that bridge continents — from saffron shrimp to lamb mezza platters — and deepen the cultural experience. The bistro also features a unique mezze dish called “Panar,” crafted by Fazeli himself. It’s a flavorful mix of cheese, walnuts, pomegranates, and a blend of secret spices. The name is a playful mashup of the Persian words paneer (cheese) and anar (pomegranate), nodding to its vibrant ingredients.
Fazeli Cellars is where ancient voices meet modern vineyards — a toast to heritage, heart, and home.
